Kenya  faces  a  significant  challenge,  with  a  suicide  rate  of  11  percent  per  100,000  population.  It  is  the  3  rd  leading  cause  of  death  in  young  persons  15-24  years  and  4  th  leading  cause  of  death  in  9-14  years.  Between  June  1  st  2024  and  6th  (this  month  alone),  a  Kenyan  weekly  newspaper  reported  15  cases  of  death  by  suicide.  it  is  even  more  crucial  to  understand  the  thoughts  and  behaviors  in  suicidal  ideations,  impact  on  our  families  and  communities,  and  the  implications  for  support  providers.
