Belgian  saxophonist  Toine  Thys  brings  his  powerfull  trio  to  Kenya  for  the  first  time.

Toine  Thys  is  a  bold  and  reckless  musician,  a  central  figure  for  saxophone  in  Europe.  With  his  Toine  Thys  Trio,  they  released  3  cds  in  the  last  10  years,  all  were  critically  acclaimed.  They  toured  extensively  in  festivals  through  Europe,  America  and  Asia,  as  well  as  Western  Africa,  gave  concerts,  workshops,  and  created  new  projects  with  musicians  from  different  cultures.

With  a  unique  orchestration  together  with  saxophone,  organ  and  drums  (no  bass),  the  trio  present  a  new  music  rooted  in  the  groove,  and  influenced  by  soul  and  African  music.
